Dominic Campanaro and Andrew Terry founded Switch Communications in 1992 with an initial focus on selling and installing Alcatel's range of digital telephone systems. Today the company employs nearly 60 people across its offices in Greater London and Cardiff and has a group turnover in excess of £5.5 million.

The company is now one of the UK's largest Alcatel dealers - justifying its position as a fully accredited Alcatel Premier Partner. Today Switch Communications has expanded its offering to embrace a range of network support services, comprehensive post-sales support and training, contact centre installations and mobile communications solutions.

In 2004, Switch Communications launched SwitchIP to deliver a range of innovative wide area network offerings to the market. This includes the InPurple range - one of the first network solutions to deliver voice, data and real-time video conferencing over a single broadband connection.
