Delivers free calls and class-leading WAN (Wide Area Network) data connectivity. Very low-cost entry level product,
normal contention within the BT Colossus network enables VOIP (voice over IP) quality comparative to the “mobile phone”
experience.
This ADSL 20:1 contended IP VPN (Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network) utilises the BT Colossus network (in the UK)
to create tunnels from ADSL endpoints which terminate in the InPurple core via BT Colossus. Our VPN’s are not tunnelled
across the Public Internet, and therefore our traffic is not subject to the performance fluctuations experienced by other
VPN providers. Internet access and services are delivered separately.
The resulting IP stream from the Colossus IP hand-off is then switched through our core routers in Telehouse Europe,
Docklands, delivering Quality of Service in the core. By utilising Cisco routers at each network endpoint, we create a
secure, superior quality IP VPN back to our InPurple core equipment in Telehouse.
Optional ISDN BRI connections can be used for redundancy, in the event of the local failure of an ADSL circuit. Should
Internet access be required in branches in the future, this can be easily added to the infrastructure but monitored and
controlled nationwide by Head Office.
We can connect legacy (non-ISDN and non-IP enabled) telephone systems to the WAN and shape the traffic over the VPN to
provide class-leading Quality of Service.
VOIP is supported.
